The Back to Me Podcast

Yoli fuses an arsenal of talents and wears many hats as the show’s host, which includes her 25 years as an educator in multicultural communities (for third graders to high schoolers, college students and adults), a Master of Education Degree in Cross-Cultural Teaching, while becoming a veteran songwriter/singer, recording artist, performer, author, speaker, SEL coach (Social Emotional Learning) and voracious entrepreneur.
In her college years, she endured the life-altering trauma of being sexually assaulted. While it devastated her, it also fueled her recognition and relationship with a Higher Being that is always protecting and present in her life. Her resilient spirit and therapy helped her get “back to me,” which triggered her desire to help young Black women who have suffered trauma or who were led astray to get back to being themselves—always!
It’s that broader sense of purpose she hopes to inspire students with on her podcast—to cultivate a safe environment for positive self-exploration, academic success, and personal fulfillment, while offering tips on how to build a career they love.
The Back to Me Podcast is a Yoli Tamu Enterprises production. AJP Productions produces the audio, mixing and editing. Simplecast distributes the podcast which is available on Spotify, Apple, and Google Podcasts. A full catalog of episodes is available by clicking here.
