OVERCOMING THE HATERS
As the year progressed, living with a new roommate definitely had its advantages and disadvantages. We had to really take the time to get to know each other, which meant there would be a few days when we just simply didn’t get along. I remember my roommate telling me
that she wanted to have friends over really late and that on occasion she may have a boyfriend come over. I told her I didn’t mind as long as she told me ahead of time, so I could make plans to go somewhere quiet if I needed to study or if she needed private time with her guests. I asked that she extend me the same courtesy. She agreed and everything seemed to be fine until the day she and her friends decided to pull a practical joke on me.
One afternoon, I came home to the dorm to get some things for a rehearsal in class and discovered all of my stuff was removed from the room. I mean everything was gone! My bed was stripped of its sheets, my clothes were no longer in the closet, my portable stereo and my hot plate were all gone too! My entire side of the room looked as bare as it did when I moved in. I couldn’t believe it. My roommate heard me enter the room and came from across the hall to say, “What happened? I can’t believe somebody stole your stuff! What are you gonna do?” I knew immediately she was involved by the crooked smile on her face and the fact that she was conveniently just across the hall in another room with her friends hanging out while our door was left wide open. I was speechless for about 3 seconds and I just looked at her and said, “Everybody loves a good joke, but this is not cool. I gotta go to rehearsal and I hope all my stuff is back in my room just as it was when I get back”. My roommate said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about” as she tried to control her laughter. Slowly but surely, her friends from across the hall came over to see what was going on. They were all trying to stop themselves from laughing too.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
